Formally known as “Mesa Grande”, named for the native American archaelogical site just off Brown Rd, the area surrounding the Duke Manor neighborhood is one of the oldest within the city of Mesa and still retains much of the city’s historical imprint. The area boasts the city’s best residential Historic districts (see map), and the newly revitalized Downtown District.
Within the Downtown area, known as the "Town Center", is the city’s Arts and cultural district that also includes the renowned Mesa Contemporary Arts Center, the Mesa Amphitheater, the Mesa Southwest Museum, and the Children's Museum.
Hohokam Field and Fitch Park, where the Chicago Cubs winter, are both less than 3/4 of a mile away.
The Mesa Arts Center is exactly two miles away....
